Amchur powder is made by drying a green mango. Green Mango is only available in the summer. However, it can be stored in the form of Amsul powder i.e. amchoor powder. Amchoor powder is included in the diet from amti and various vegetables.

Kala Masala is usually added with curries, soups and vegetable dishes. Kala Masala is a very distinctive and aromatic mixture of quality spices. Due to the addition of the fried onions, the kala masala gets a deeper dark brownish-black colour. Hence the name ‘kala’ which means black.
