Kala Masala is usually added with curries, soups and vegetable dishes. Kala Masala is a very distinctive and aromatic mixture of quality spices. Due to the addition of the fried onions, the kala masala gets a deeper dark brownish-black colour. Hence the name ‘kala’ which means black.
